WELCOME TO 5TH GOSPORT SEA SCOUT GROUP

Our group was established in 1910 and attracts young people from Gosport and the surrounding areas.  We are proud to be one of 105 Royal Navy recognised Sea Scout group across the UK.

Members of scouting are do-ers and give-it-a-go-ers. Yes, we go camping, hiking, swimming, abseiling, cycling and canoeing. But we also get to hang out with our friends every week – having fun, playing games, working in a team, taking on new challenges and achieving badge and awards. We meet weekly during term time at our headquarters however section leaders try to get out and about so you will often find us at Alverstoke Lake, Alver Valley or Stokes Bay which allows us to indulge in outdoor wide games, pioneering, shooting, water sports, archery and plenty of other fun "stuff"!

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society which is why our deicated leaders across all sections invest a lot of time, effort and energy in providing a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities.

Welcome to the 5th Gosport Sea Scout Group.

Our Sections...

We have three sections who meet in our hut (HQ) in St. Lukes Road, Gosport, throughout the week: Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Each section strives to support all members to take part, achieve and reach their full potential.

We have a partnership agreement with our local Explorers so young people can stay within the group at 14 years old.

Our Beaver Colony for 6 to 8 year olds meet on Wednesday evenings and is led by  Mrs Ray and her team.

Our Cub Scout Pack for 8 to 10.5 year olds meet on Monday evenings and is led by Akela and his team.

Our Sea Scout Troop for 10.5 to 14 year olds meet on Friday evenings and is led by Alex and his team.
